Description
In the marina it is often difficult to get a good internet connection with the WiFi in the ports. The WiFi reception is often insufficient or even poor. By connecting an external USB WiFi antenna/adapter to the BoatController you always have the best and fastest WiFi reception on board. The BoatController connects to the port and you then have internet on board directly on your smartphone/tablet or PC. Via the BoatController's WiFi Hotspot you have access to the internet and you simultaneously receive the navigation data from your boat.
There are devices that improve WiFi reception, but they often only support a limited number of internet providers. The BoatController also supports Ziggo and UPC hotspots.
The BoatController is compatible with all WiFi adapters equipped with the RT3070 or RTL8188CUS chipset, such as our adapters in this section, but also the well-known Powerwifi, Turbowifi, Nauticwifi, Digital Yacht WL70 WI-FI BOOSTER, etc.
