Powerful Pcnautic control for external drives

The Pcnautic ControlHead & Endurance MotorController has been developed for autopilot drives that require more power or additional functions than the standard Pcnautic MotorController.

The Endurance MotorController supports drives up to 15 A continuous and is suitable for both 12 V and 24 V installations. This allows for the control of Tiller Drives, Wheel Drives, and underdeck drives, among others.

Optionally, the Endurance MotorController is available with a connection for an electric clutch, including Clutch PWM. Additionally, an external rudder position sensor, voltage monitoring, temperature protection, and dynamic current limiting are possible.

The ControlHead can steer using the internal compass, wind angle, GPS heading, waypoints, and routes. Configuration and calibration are performed via the web interface on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

The Endurance MotorController has been developed for drives that require more power than the standard Pcnautic MotorController. The controller supports a motor current of up to 15 A continuous and can be used in both 12 V and 24 V installations.

As a result, the same Pcnautic ControlHead can be combined with various electric drives, including Tiller Drives, Wheel Drives, and underdeck drives.

An integrated temperature sensor monitors the Endurance MotorController and helps protect the electronics against thermal overload.

Rudder position, safety device and coupling

An external rudder position sensor can be connected directly to the Endurance MotorController. This allows the current rudder position to be displayed and calibrated, and enables the use of software-based rudder limiting and a trim alarm.

The Endurance MotorController continuously monitors the motor current and supply voltage. Adjustable advance warnings for the rudder limit and current limit help signal overload in time.

The version with a clutch connection can control an electric clutch of, for example, an underdeck drive. With Clutch PWM, full power is delivered initially upon switching on, after which the holding power can be reduced. This allows the continuous current consumption of the clutch to be significantly reduced.
