Description
Sold out as an alternative you can Raymarine set purchase!
With the Pcnautic 620 Tiller Drive you can replace your old Raymarine Q1 Tiller Drive 1 on 047.
Complete installation and calibration kit for the Raymarine EV-100 or SPX-5 Autopilots.
The biggest advantage of the Pcnautic Tiller Drive is the internal rudder gauge, which can be connected to your handlebar computer.
This allows your Autopilot to respond much better to the conditions.
See the reviews!
Additional benefits:
– The Pcnautic Tiller Drive is equipped with End Switches, which prevent the motor from burning out in the extreme positions.
– A longer stroke / Stroke of 300mm instead of the 250mm of Raymarine.
– No freewheel, so there is less wear and power consumption.
– Quieter

1. Shorten the cable (No. 5) so that you have the junction box (No. 6) close to the socket (No. 4), but in a place where you can still reach it. The box contains handy wire clips (no. 7), so that the wires can be easily connected to each other.
2: Connect the wires according to diagram 1.
3: From the connection box (no. 6) you have to pull the 2 supplied cables (no. 8 and 9) to the ACU/SPX.
4: The black NMEA cable (no. 9) is for the rudder position. Connect the colors according to diagram 2, which correspond to the colors on the RUDDER plug. The shield must be in the gray last box.
5: There are 4 wires in the gray cable, number 1 is connected to A of the motor and number 2 to B of the motor.
Remove the minus wire from the power and place it in the connection block (no. 10) together with the yellow/green wire.
Place the wire with number 3 on the minus of the power. The installation is now complete.
If you switch on the system now, you will see that all instruments work normally.
The ACU is now off because the drive is not connected.
As soon as you connect the plug of the drive, the ACU switches on and the rudder position is automatically indicated.
Now you have to go through the calibration process once.
Calibration process:
6. Select Menu / Settings / Autopilot Calibration / Commissioning / Harbor Wizard / ok / Tiller / Continue
7: Now you get the message “Set the rudder amidships and press OK”. You can do that with a 9 Volt battery. With the rudder in the middle position, click ok.
By placing the 2 wires of the 9 Volt battery (no. 11) on A and B of the motor, the stirring rod will extend. If this does not happen, turn the 2 wires around (by changing the 2 wires, the direction of the engine)
8: Then you get the message “Move the rudder all the way to PORT”
You must “steer” to port, meaning if the drive is mounted on the starboard side, you must fully retract it. So the tiller moves to starboard, but you steer to port!
The drive will stop itself at the extreme position and then click on “ok”
9: Then you get the message “Move the rudder all the way to STARBOARD”. Move the rudder all the way to the other side until it stops by itself and press “OK”
10: Then you get the message “Set the rudder amidships and press OK”
11: Now you will get the message “Task completed successfully”, choose “Continue”. Now the rudder limit is displayed which is always at 28 degrees “Rudder limit has been updated”, just leave it as it is (don't change) and click on “Continue”.
Now he's going to test the rudder. The rudder will not go to the extreme positions but you have to ignore that for now. Just run the tests and follow instructions.
12: You will then receive the message “Task completed successfully”. Choose “Continue”. You now return to the menu on Harbor wizard, click 1 time “cancel” (= back). Then choose Drive Settings/Rudder Limit and increase it to 40 degrees!
Through this calibration process, your autopilot will use the entire range. Select save and click “Standby” to return to the main display.
The autopilot is now ready for use.

Specifications
Product specifications:
Voltage: 12VDC
Power consumption: 0A (standby), 5A max.
Result: 300mm (12inch)*1
(*1: Because Pcnautic has a 50mm larger stroke, it can be sailed in more extreme conditions compared to the competition)
Rudder Force: 85kg (187lbs) *2
(*2: Rudder force is the fictional force called “rudder force” by competitors such as Raymarine and Simrad)
Static Force: 200kg *3
(*3: The Pcnautic drive cannot be extended or retracted by the rudder force, so it can control larger and heavier ships and/or conditions compared to the competition)
Full rudder at 250mm: 4 sec.
Max. Boat Weight: >6000kg (13200lbs) *4
(*4: Due to the internal rudder position in combination with the longer stroke and static force, the Pcnautic Drive is able to keep larger ships and/or ships on course compared to the competition in more difficult conditions)
